Context: Global body fitness(strength) vs running performance. 35 male runners.


Results: The following were significantly associated with running performance:

  • Muscular power

  • Abdominal muscle endurance

  • Isometric strength

  • Global physical fitness

  • Stride frequency


Conclusions: More strength and faster strides leads to better running performance.
