I ran a local large 5K on streets. My current focus, derivative of your teachings, is basically reduced to ‘shoulders back’. That’s looking ahead, not down. As a coach....not having good biomechanics does not mean you cannot improve your form and reduce your risk..... Good form can also improve performance (whether speed or just finishing with less fatigue). However, ...some people appear to get away with it. It comes down to risk - better form means less risk. Barry

I read through your post and I like what I read, I had to learn most of it the hard way, I was a heel striker but thought no big deal but ended up with 5th metatarsal stress fracture 2 different times, worked with my pt and he explained about the forces I was putting on my feet so learned to shorten my stride and try to land with mid foot, no more foot issues but it was a slow process for me, hitting about 174-176 cadence now but can’t quite get to 180. I also used to try to lean forward by putting my hands forward position but learned about your pinched shoulders technique and found it naturally gave me a better posture. Dales
